Rest in Peace Grandmaster Puggly

Below is chess expert Francisco Anchondo’s report on the passing of Grandmaster Puggly.

Francisco and Puggly were inseparable and easy to spot at scores of chess tournaments.

It is my sad duty to report that my infamous great lovely side kick has passed. On August 25 , 2015 at 1145 pm Puggly expired. (Unfortunately I was hospitalized in Vista California and my GM Puggly was with the best vet on the whole north american continent, Dr Jose Aguirre. His magic and knowledge could not save Puggly. He worked hard day and night caring for him and I must commend him for his fine work that I have seen personally. If you need a great vet his number is 011-52 -646 120-5520.)

Puggly came into my world filling it with love and respect. He was like a medicine for me. I miss him so. May 2008 He pranced into my life. A neglected dog who was so loveable and I was so blessed to have him in my life. He calmed my spirit which had been full of negative experiences. He gave his whole love unconditionally to his owner and all the children in the Bay Area and Mexico. He was my chess dog! I recall Jerry Weikel calling him “shortround” so lovingly that he was just loved by everyone. From the Bay area to Reno to Vegas where he was so quite as I played round after round. So calm and so relaxed he was my whole world. He loved traveling and I went to every chess tournament I could find. He went to Agua Prieta Mexico just across Douglas Arizona which borders Mexico. Prior to crossing he was hungry and he let me know it. I drove up into this fast food place which had a drive through. I bought some BBQ ribs and he looked at me with those loving eyes. As he was saying what about me. I continued eating. He barked . Ok ok Mr White here you go. Puggly had many aliases . Mr White, Grandmaster Puggly, Killer Cottenball, The White Death, and my own, Boojibooboos.
