Chess for Android Phones

October 5, 2010

There are three chess applications that Android users should install on their phones.
Droidfish Chess is a free program that allows users to analyze chess positions with a Stockfish clone. This is definately the strongest chess engine available for Android devices and works extremely well on my 1ghz Droid 2. In addition to analysis, users can also import/export pgn as well as match wits with an unbeatable opponent.
Chess Lite is another free chess application available to Android phone owners. This programs enables chess players to compete online using their phones. Chess games are played in real time on the Free Internet Chess Server.
Finally, chess players can now access all the great content of Chess.com from their phones. All you have to do is install the Chess.com application on your Android phone.
